When Contemporary met Colonial...

Patrick Printy is an interior designer and former art director for Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma. Needless to say, the man knows how to put a beautiful space together. When he and his partner decided to  build a house in Sonoma County, the design direction was inspired from a trip to Europe... While vacationing in Amsterdam 10 years ago, Printy developed a strong affinity for the Dutch Farmhouse look.  His new home, which was recently featured on Elle Decor.com, is an ode to this colonial style which he loves so much.  The final result is warm, inviting and refreshingly original. I've yet to see anything quite like it.

Here's a little sneak peek...

  1. Yep, very very nice! But is it just me but does that outside of the house look a tad bit like a switch plate!?
