Paint Colours I Love....

Choosing a paint color can be very stressful. In home renovation shows, you often see designers applying 10 samples on a wall before settling on a paint color. While this is probably the most effective way of determining how a paint color will ultimately look in your space, the fact of the mater is, most of us would rather not spend $100 finding out which color works best. (side note - smaller paint samples are available in most stores but those are quite expensive as well!!!).

It's incredibly frustrating when you spend hours analyzing minuscule paint swatches only to find out that the colour you chose looks completely different on your wall...  What I like to do before selecting a paint colour is find 5 pictures online (in different rooms and houses) of the shade I like and assess whether or not it would look good in my space. The best website I've found is Decorpad (check it out here). You can narrow your search by brand or by shade.

Here are a few colours that are tried, tested and true:

1- Wedgewood Gray by Benjamin Moore

2- Dolphin Fin by Behr

3- Mouse's Back by Farrow & Ball

4- Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore

5- Creek Bend by Behr

6- Gentle Tide by Glidden
