Obsession of the day: Garden stools...
Lately, it seems as though every space I fall in love with has a Chinese garden stool in it. For centuries, these intricate, drum-shaped stools have been showcased in gardens but in the past 10 years, they have made their way into our homes. Once found hiding under a plant, they are now showcased in dressing rooms, dens, living rooms, kitchens and even around the pool. Because of their compact shape and size, ceramic garden stools can be used as side-tables, footrests, additional seating for guests or even as a place to display your towels in the bathroom. Garden stools are endlessly adaptable, charmingly plump and one of the most versatile objects you can purchase for your home.

I've never heard of or seen Chinese garden stools before. But they're a treat on the eyes. Give a real 'travel' feel to a room.
