Cabin Fever...

Having lived in Canada nearly my whole life, I can attest to having braved the deadliest of winters. Although the arctic climate can easily get the best of most people, I've always embraced the beauty of our snowy weather. Somehow, the thought of how discomforting it would feel to step outdoors makes being indoors that much more enjoyable.

As I admired interior designer Kate Thornely's century-old cottage, I couldn't help but imagine how idyllic it would be to spend a few stormy winter nights locked up  in a rustic cabin, lost somewhere admidst a forest, with nothing but a good book and the faint crackle of an open fire...
