Balconies are incredibly small spaces that are hard to work with. Their minimal depth and awkward dimensions make it exceedingly difficult to determine a functional layout. When you live in an apartment, condo or loft, your balcony is the closest thing to a backyard you own - so you've got to make the most of every square inch!

While most people are quite content being able to fit  2 chairs and a BBQ, it is possible to transform even the smallest of balconies into beautiful living spaces.
